Salvage excavation reveals findings in Reḥovot neighborhood, suggesting historical significance.
In September 2019, a salvage excavation was conducted in the Kefar Gevirol neighborhood of Re h ovot (Permit No. A-8464; map ref. 178727–40/644882–902; Fig. 1). The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by V. Shustin, with the assistance of Y. Amrani and E. Bachar (administration), Y. Marmelstein (field photography, surveying and drafting) and Y. Tepper (scientific consultation), as well as D. Ben-Ami, D. Barkan and I. Radashkovsky of the Israel Antiquities Authority Central District.
