This study explores the evolution of geographic tools within Chinese junior high school geography curriculum standards over the past century. The findings reveal that geographic tools are essential for effective geography learning and a critical component of the curriculum. These tools can be classified into four categories: geo-visualization, geo-practical, geo-media, and geo-information tools, each of which has evolved in response to changing educational needs. The paper concludes by examining the strategies and importance of effectively integrating geographic tools into geographic practice to enhance geography instruction.
