Abstract

The end of August in Texas signals many things. For most of the population, it's the hopeful anticipation of a September cold front – though that relief often proves elusive. More reliably, it marks SEG's annual collaboration with AAPG to host IMAGE, our premier geoscience conference. As I write this, staff, volunteers, authors, and exhibitors are working hard to ensure another outstanding event. And, as tradition holds, it also marks a time of leadership transition at SEG.
