Pilot project demonstrates effective collaboration between public and private agencies, enhancing professional services for landowners.
Two new consulting foresters have become established in the Tennessee Valley as a result of a two-year pilot project developed by the Association of Consulting Foresters and the Tennessee Valley Authority. Supplemental income totalling less than $20,000 aided the consultants. Both ACF and TVA believe this project demonstrates a method for public and private agencies, working together, to encourage foresters in consulting and thus increase professional services to landowners.
