The current research aims to identify interdependence among educational counselors and the significance of differences in interdependence among the research sample based on gender (male-female). To achieve the research objectives, the researchers developed a measure of interdependence according to the adopted social interdependence theory. The scale consists of (30) items distributed over three domains, with (10) items per domain, after verifying its psychometric properties (validity, reliability, and factor analysis). The research population is defined as all educational counselors (male-female) working in the General Directorate of Education in Basrah Governorate for the academic year (2023-2024), totaling (739) counselors. The research sample consisted of (253) counselors, selected using a random proportional selection method. After statistically processing the data using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), the results indicated that there is a weakness in interdependence among educational counselors. Additionally, there are no differences in interdependence among the research sample based on gender (male-female). The research concluded with some recommendations and suggestions.
