The principles of interaction are personal rules that an individual is guided by, which regulates interaction in conditions of high uncertainty in society. The gender type of personality acts as a socio-psychological factor in the preference of specific principles of interaction. Objective: to study the attitude to the principles of social in-teraction in the family and at work, considering the gender type of personality. Methods: the author’s “Question-naire of Gender Type of Personality”, a questionnaire for studying the principles of social interaction; analysis of variance (ANOVA) (IBM SPSS 27.0). Sample: 193 people (32.6 % men; 67.4 % women; aged 18–70 years), including 108 people with the main sphere of interaction at work, 85 people – in the family. Results: differences in the use of the principles of interaction depending on the gender type of personality were found. Representa-tives of the patriarchal-masculine type assess the importance of morality in the family higher than at work. Rep-resentatives of two “matriarchal” types (with a positive attitude towards a higher status of women than men in the hierarchical interaction between them) assess the role of morality at work more highly than in the family. Mutuality and trust in interaction are also associated with the gender type of personality.
