Mucinous carcinoma (MC) of the eyelid is a rare malignant tumour often presenting as a slow-growing, painless lesion, typically found on the lower eyelid. The main differential diagnoses are cutaneous metastasis of adenocarcinoma and sebaceous carcinoma of the eyelid. They must be ruled out. Immunohistochemistry does not always provide a definitive diagnosis, an extended work-up is mandatory. Overall, the prognosis of MC is favorable compared to other malignant eyelid sweat gland tumours.
