The article considers the accumulation of a gradient of TM pollution (lead and cadmium) in the vegetative organs of the hanging birch (Vetula pendula), small-leaved linden (Tilia cordata) and pyramidal poplar (Opulus pyramidalis) growing in the territories of urban parks in small towns of the Lipetsk region (Yelets, Zadonsk, Lebedyan). As a result of the conducted studies, the presence of Pb and Cd was revealed in all studied species, at all studied sites. The accumulation of metals occurs throughout the growing season, the largest number of them in the studied species is noted in the shoots. Cd accumulation in linden and birch leaves does not increase significantly from June to July, and from July to August it increases 1,5-2 times, in poplar leaves it is uniform, with a maximum in August.
