The article is devoted to the study of the psychological aspects of the phenomenology of extreme volunteerism. Based on the data collected using the methodology for diagnosing personal maturity (V.A. Ruzhenkov), the questionnaires “Scale of dispositional egoism” (K. Muzdybaev) and the assessment of the choice of participation in extreme volunteerism (V.E. Petrov), the questionnaire of value orientations (adaptation of the method of M. Rokich), expert assessment, on a sample of 203 respondents, it was found that that the integrity of the worldview has a significant impact on the personal choice of participation in extreme volunteerism. The consistency of values such as “Safety of relatives”, “Happy family life”, “Life”, “Health”, “Inner harmony”, “Friendship, camaraderie”, «“National idea, patriotism”, as well as personal maturity is manifested in the fact that even the extremity of life is accepted by the individual and integrated into the worldview without causing mental stress. The approach is focused on improving the technology of psychological study and training of representatives of law enforcement agencies involved in performing tasks in special conditions.
