Effectiveness of the Mandatory Mufrodat Program In Enhancing Maharah Kalam Skills At Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah An-Nur Sidoarjo Has Been Studied

Vocabulary is closely related to maharah kalam, as a larger vocabulary facilitates easier communication. Research on compulsory mufrodat programs aimed at enhancing maharah kalam is still rare. This study aims to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of a compulsory mufrodat program in improving maharah kalam at Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah An-Nur Sidoarjo. The research uses a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential model. Data collection methods include questionnaires, surveys, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involve frequency distribution, regression testing, and descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that: 1) the implementation of the compulsory mufrodat program positively impacts the maharah kalam of female students in grade IX, and 2) the effectiveness of the program is reflected in the improvement of both written and oral test scores, with regression analysis showing an impact rate of 41.2%.
