The purpose of the study is to specify the possibilities of utilizing financial consulting within the mechanism of managing the economic security of an enterprise during its development under the influence of digitalization. Methodology. The research employed methods such as content analysis of scientific sources and literature, generalization, systematization, and supplementation of the findings of domestic and foreign scholars regarding the possibilities of using financial consulting to ensure the economic security of enterprise development management. The graphical method was used to visualize specific propositions, assumptions, and conclusions obtained during the research process. Results. It has been established that financial consulting, when applied within the framework of security-oriented enterprise development management, can automate the procedure for assessing financial risks associated with enterprise activities and forecast the impact of risks that may arise during the development process. It also contributes to stabilizing the financial condition of enterprises through the rational use of financial resources, both internal and external (sourced from financial institutions and clients), and enhances the level of business information transparency, particularly concerning the motives behind financial decision-making. The challenges in operating the mechanism of economic security management during enterprise development strategy formation under digitalization include: a low level of digital literacy among enterprise personnel, inability to identify and monitor digital risks, the necessity of protecting the digital environment supporting business processes (which distracts from traditional threats), excessive ambition of top management in setting development goals without due consideration of potential threats, the lack of specialists to ensure digital security, and the increasing dependence of enterprise functioning on the digital ecosystem. Scientific novelty. The study substantiates the appropriateness of employing financial consulting services to enhance the efficiency of the economic security management mechanism at enterprises with the aim of protecting their economic and human resource potential, which is crucial for sustainable development under the risks posed by digitalization. The research identifies and generalizes the problems associated with the functioning of the economic security management mechanism during enterprise development strategizing under digitalization. It outlines the possibilities of applying financial consulting in the processes of forming and operating the enterprise's economic security management mechanism. Practical significance. The proposals presented in the study may serve as a foundation for developing security-oriented enterprise development strategies in Ukraine.
