Tourism as a Component of Quality of Life in the Context of the Circular Economy

Purpose. The article is devoted to revealing the components of the quality of life in the context of the circular economy and the role of tourism in these processes. Methodology. To solve the tasks set, the need to ensure a higher level of access of the population to receiving tourism services is substantiated, which will contribute to improving the quality of life in the context of the circular economy. Purpose. The article is devoted to exploring the components of quality of life in the context of the circular economy and the role of tourism in these processes. Methodology. To address the stated objectives, the study substantiates the need to ensure a higher level of public access to tourism services, which would contribute to improving the quality of life within the framework of the circular economy. Results. To achieve the research goals, the following aspects were examined: the components of quality of life; the essence of the circular economy and the peculiarities of its development in Ukraine; international quality of life rankings; and the role of tourism in enhancing the population's quality of life. Based on the findings, the authors propose the development of additional state programs aimed at expanding public access to tourism services. Specifically, the authors advocate for the creation of a national program entitled "The Quality of Life Compass for Ukraine – 2035", the implementation of which would increase access to tourism services and, consequently, improve quality of life. Scientific Novelty. The authors propose a framework for identifying population categories eligible for free tourism service vouchers under the "Quality of Life Compass for Ukraine – 2035" program, including the criteria for selection and potential sources of funding. A critical source of financial support for the proposed program is identified as the renewed development of Ukrainian production of goods and services, along with an enhanced level of entrepreneurship in the country. The program, designed at the state level, is expected to significantly improve the quality of social life for large population groups, increase job satisfaction, enhance mental well-being, positively impact income levels, and broaden the range of available social services. Practical Significance. The implementation of the proposed state program "Quality of Life Compass for Ukraine – 2035", based on defined criteria and access conditions for the population to receive free tourism services, is projected to improve the quality of life in Ukraine. It would better align with intellectual development and the advancement of socio-technical systems within the circular economy framework.
