To contribute to the control of climate change, it is essential to consider the relevance of facade glazing for promoting energy efficiency and thermal comfort. This article qualitatively analyzes two projects, starting with the identification of the envelopes as the initial parameter, followed by the selection of glass typologies, and finally, by the comparative analysis, considering the reduction of solar exposure inside the environment. The first project was the Jack H. Miller Center — USA, which obtained LEED certification, while the second, the Unibra University Center — BR, required intervention after its execution. The studies demonstrate that it is possible to improve thermal comfort by applying thermochromic films.
