The purpose of this study is to determine whether using the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) model has an impact on students' comprehension of scientific topics in fourth grade science classes at SDN Gading 160. This type of study is pre-experimental (experimental design), using a one-group pretest posttest design. In class IV, 29 students made up the research sample. Using the paired sample T-Test, the research acquired results from pretest and posttest data hypothesis testing. The test yielded a sig value of 0,000, which is less than α 0,05 (0,000<0,05), indicating that the hypothesis Ha is accepted and the hypothesis Ho is rejected. The average score of 0.58 on the N-Gain test, based on the pretest and posttest findings, indicates the degree.
