This study aims to determine the teacher's response to the implementation of an independent curriculum in physical education learning in public high schools in Batang city, Central Java. The research method used was descriptive qualitative method. The sampling technique used was snowball sampling technique. The samples of this study were SMA Negeri 1 Batang, SMA Negeri 2 Batang, SMA Negeri 1 Bandar, and SMA Negeri 1 Subah. Data collection techniques in this study through structured interviews to physical education teachers. The results showed that most teachers have successfully implemented various important dimensions in classroom management. These dimensions include regularity of the classroom atmosphere, clear expectations for students, application of positive discipline, interactive activities, constructive feedback, adaptive learning, attention and concern for students, and learning instructions. These teachers demonstrated the ability to create a conducive and supportive learning environment, which was able to increase student engagement and achievement in physical education subjects in the implementation of the independent curriculum.
