The work is devoted to the study of issues related to the application of limitation periods for recourse obligations. It has been established that the concept of recourse obligation has not been formally enshrined in the current legislation, but it has established special rules for calculating the limitation period. It has been revealed that in judicial practice the deadline for fulfilling a recourse obligation is determined by the moment of its occurrence. The authors come to the conclusion that the fulfillment of the main obligation in parts entails the emergence of independent recourse obligations, the limitation period for which runs separately. As a result of the study, measures were proposed to improve legal regulation in order to ensure legal certainty of potential regressors.
