Theoretical analysis of multibeam bathymetry seabed coverage area model

In this paper, based on the function of multi-beam bathymetric system which can simultaneously send hundreds of beams to measure the depth of water at the same time, according to the real topographic characteristics of the seabed, the non parallel survey line design model based on beta is established. The overlap rate between adjacent coverage depth zones is constrained with the known measured sea area, and the whole sea area to be measured is guaranteed to be covered as much as possible. The coverage width of the survey line is calculated and the optimal survey line is designed under the condition of the slope of the seabed and the direction of the survey line.
