Objective to assess the work-related harms of frontline Brazilian healthcare workers against COVID-19 in the first year of pandemics. Method prospective observational study, which collected data from April to June 2020 (T1) and from November 2020 to January 2021 (T2) at the Brazilian national territory, using the snowball sampling method. The studied sample consisted of 113 health professionals who answered the questionnaires in the two analyzed periods (T1 and T2). Results For this purpose, the EIPST Scale for Pleasure and Suffering at Work and the EADRT Scale for the Assessment of Work-Related Harms were used. Data were organized, tabulated and analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2016 and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 25.0 software. The scores of the EIPST and EADRT scales were analyzed in terms of their descriptive statistics (mean - x̅; standard deviation - SD; absolute and relative frequencies), which allowed evaluating and classifying the degrees of risk, referring to each scale, at the sampling level and at the individual level, following the risk interpretation recommendations of the respective scales.
