The use of composite materials based on wood filler and polymer has become widespread in many areas of industry, in particular, in construction. Composites can replace wood and plastic, they have the properties of these components, and therefore they are an excellent alternative for use as building materials. The relevance of the work lies in the creation of a composite material with a wood filler modified by an innovative method of double processing: thermal exposure followed by ozonation. The article evaluates the feasibility of using a two-stage processing method for wood filler. In order to adequately predict the possibility of using wood modified in this way, the properties of the obtained experimental samples are studied: moisture absorption, wettability, tensile strength, compression and bending. Statistical processing of the obtained values was carried out, as well as their correlation analysis. Schemes of experimental installations for modification are presented. The results of the study showed that two-stage processing of wood filler improves the properties of the resulting composite material, increases hydrophobicity and strength characteristics. Wood-polymer composites manufactured with a wood filler that has undergone a double modification can be used for products that have high strength and operational requirements.
