Evaluate the application levels and impacts of Industry 4.0 foundational technologies on transportation services in Vietnam

This study evaluates the application level and impact of Industry 4.0 foundational technologies in Vietnam's transportation service sector. Through a survey of 129 experts from various fields within the industry, the research assessed the implementation and development potential of 8 key technologies: Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Blockchain, Robotics, Cybersecurity, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR), and 3D Printing. Results reveal varying adoption rates and expectations across technologies and business types. Cybersecurity, IoT, and Big Data are highly rated for current application and future development potential. Conversely, Robotics, VR/AR, and 3D Printing show lower adoption rates but still have prospects for growth. The study also highlights significant disparities in technology adoption between different types of businesses, particularly between air transport and other sectors. The research findings provide a comprehensive view of the current state and technological trends in Vietnam's transportation industry, while proposing solutions to promote digital transformation in the sector.
