Purpose: This study analyzes the growth trends of e-Commerce platforms and the direct damage caused to domestic consumers by China's e-Commerce platform offensive, and presents countermeasures to improve the problems. Research design, data, and methodology: This study analyzes related literature reviews. Results: Problems caused by the growth of e-Commerce platforms include increased illegal imports, increased consumer damage, increased smuggling and customs evasion, personal information protection issues, and infringement of intellectual property rights, which have increased to a serious level. The increase in illegal imports under the guise of overseas direct purchase and the increase in customs evasion through undervalue are causing serious damage to the national economy and are causing turbulence in the customs clearance order, adversely affecting the sound customs clearance culture. Conclusions: The government's active efforts are needed to further strengthen penalties under the Customs Act and establish a sound customs clearance order through continuous promotion and information provision. In addition, damage to consumers due to the proliferation of purchasing agents is increasing at a serious level, and improvements to the customs law system are needed to resolve these problems. Lastly, due to the increase in cross-border e-commerce, we must come up with a response plan to protect the personal information of Korean citizens collected by overseas e-commerce platforms and eradicate the import of harmful goods by strengthening the certification system
