The article considers the practice of implementing standards for occupational exposure limits or OEL (Occupational exposure limits) of chemicals according to foreign studies and sources. Comparative data are provided on the application of the method of comprehensive hygienic assessment of working conditions by country as the legislative basis for the employer's responsibility to ensure the assessment and minimize the impact of hazardous substances on occupational health. The need to introduce a correction factor to the established MPC/MPR in the Republic of Kazakhstan for a six-day working week, following the example of other countries (for example, Brazil, Chile), as well as the use of methods for assessing occupational risk for hazardous substances for which occupational exposure limits have not been established, were considered. An assessment of the safe experience under the influence of dust, including strongly fibro genic aerosols, was considered as an effective measure to limit the effect of hazardous substances on the respiratory organs of workers.
