Given the extensive use and growing popularity of English across various fields, the teaching of this language is typically encouraged. Concurrently, various resources have been developed to aid in listening comprehension, with podcasts currently attracting significant interest. This study aimed to determine the perceptions of 138 EFL students from a private university in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam regarding the benefits of using podcasts to enhance listening comprehension abilities. Data were collected through the use of questionnaires and interviews. The findings revealed that the majority of students perceived podcasts as beneficial and efficient for improving listening comprehension. Furthermore, some students provided suggestions and identified issues they encountered. These insights enable teachers at the institution to offer instruction tailored to the specific needs of their students.
