The article studies the history of the formation and development of an innovative educational institution – the Center for Additional Education of children of The State Budgetary Educational Institution "Children's Academy of Creativity "Sunny City" of the Ministry of Enlightenment and Science of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in Nalchik. The institution is a modern center for the intellectual and creative development of students, it implements additional general development programs in the following directions: social and humanitarian, technical, artistic and aesthetic, natural science.
