An improved linear quadratic differential game guidance law of cooperative interception is proposed in this paper for the problem of offense-defense confrontation under incomplete information conditions. In the case that both offense-defense sides have first-order biproper dynamics and there are upper limits to their maneuvering capabilities, the relative motion of them in three-dimensional space is decomposed in horizontal and plumb planes, and the linear quadratic performance index is selected according to differential game theory to derive the optimal strategies of both sides. The guidance law obtained is applicable to three-dimensional offense-defense confrontation problems, and the impact of simplifications of motion model on the interception effect is diminished. In addition, based on the analysis of strategy requirements of both offense-defense sides, this paper gives selection and correction methods of weight coefficients in the performance index, so that the above guidance law can cope with actual interception scenarios where the maneuvering information of target cannot be accurately measured. The simulation results show that the guidance law designed in this paper has superior interception accuracy.
