Installation predictions for offshore wind monopiles are increasingly challenging as their diameter is increasing due to larger turbines and deeper water depths. Current driveability approaches used by the industry to predict the soil's static resistance to driving (SRD) have proven to be inaccurate since they have been developed based on different soil conditions, hammer, and pile characteristics. This paper proposes an approach for developing a new SRD method which includes the back-analyses of monopile driving records and the statistical evaluation of fitting parameters employed to assess its accuracy. It also explains the process of optimising the methodology across all available driving records and proposing a generic formulation adaptable for different offshore sites. The proposed methodology is dynamic with the option of including more driving records as they become available, thereby increasing the future accuracy and parameter space.
