In the field of pole climbing robots, the end effector of the pole is one of the important core technologies in its research and development. As an important component of the electric gripper end drive system, the contact characteristics and transmission efficiency of the worm gear directly affect the performance of the climbing rod. For this purpose, the worm gear pair in the gripper transmission system of a climbing robot was taken as the research object. Solidworks software was used to model the worm gear pair, and then the solid model was imported into. Hypermesh software for mesh division. Finally, the rotation process of the worm gear pair was simulated using ANSYS software, and static contact analysis was conducted at different positions during this process. This article studies the distribution law of contact stress on the meshing tooth surface of the worm gear of a climbing robot when it rotates one tooth. At the same time, the contact strength of the meshing surface is checked, and the influence of the friction coefficient of the worm gear tooth surface on the transmission efficiency is analyzed.
