Art is unique in developing and internalizing students' character in learning. This potential is not shared by other fields, namely experience in expressive, creative and aesthetic aspects. Therefore, this research focuses on the process of implementing musical art as a medium for internalizing the character values of Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative phenomenological approach.Data collection was carried out using observation, interview and documentation techniques.Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out through an interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman. This research found that the process of internalizing the values of Islamic religious education at SMA Surya Buana Malang went through three stages in accordance with Thomas Lickona's theory. It was found in the knowing aspect that students can have knowledge about the values of Islamic religious education including the values of civility, tolerance and mutual cooperation. In the feeling aspect, students are able to feel the good impact of the values of Islamic religious education. In the action aspect, students can apply the values of Islamic religious education to their lives. The internalization of values through musical arts shows that students not only have knowledge and feelings towards the values of Islamic Religious Education, but are also able to carry out concrete actions that are in accordance with these values in everyday life.
