A new IEC standard has been recently published to evaluate observer metamerism(OM) characteristics, one of the challenges of wide color gamut displays. This paper evaluates OM characteristics based on primary peak wavelength with the new IEC standard using hypothetical displays with color gamuts from BT.709 to BT.2020 and beyond.
