Critical thinking training model specific to the intelligence analyst

The current reality demonstrates that the human factor became a main and necessary resource for exploring the bulk of problems characterizing the risk society, the competences of critical thinking being essential for the man of future. This issue comprises as well the models of critical thinking formation specific for intelligence analysts focusing on the following peculiarities: goal attainment (Halpern, 2000), the quality of argument (Paul and Elder, 2004), systems of thinking 1 and 2 (Fischer and Spiker, 2004), overcoming the challenges in information analysis (Hendrickson, 2008), ability of critical thinking (Harris and Spiker, 2012). The refinement of critical thinking by an analyst is a process based on knowing the stages of the analytical process, on developing the abilities for cognitive work and formation of the necessary kit of abilities for this activity.
