Research on China's Food Security under the Pattern of Global Food Trade

The turbulent international environment has made the pattern of food trade begin to change, the international food supply and demand show a tight balance, some food trading powers have introduced trade policies to restrict food exports, and the international food is increasingly tense.This paper reviews the changes of grain trade pattern from the aspects of grain production, consumption and world grain trade.Food security in China is measured from four aspects: food supply, availability, stability and sustainability.The results showed that the overall grain production and consumption were on the rise.Strains in the global food trade; China's food security is on the whole showing a good trend.
