The Policy Basis, Challenge and Response of Lifelong Education Legislation

China has set the construction of a learning country as an important strategic goal of China's current development.In the process of realizing this strategic goal, lifelong education is an important driving force.The legislative work of lifelong education in China has been started in the 1990s, but after years of efforts, the national lifelong education law has not been introduced, and the legislative work is faced with a dilemma.The main reasons are the disputes over the definition of the concept of lifelong education, as well as the imperfection and some contradiction of the lifelong education system within the law.Therefore, in the process of legislation, the concept of lifelong education should be clearly defined, and the category of legislation should also be clearly defined.We will actively promote the development of the system of lifelong education, improve laws and regulations related to lifelong education, strive to create conditions for formulating the Law on lifelong Education, solve legislative problems, and promote the early promulgation and implementation of the Law on lifelong Education.
