Edema is an excessive accumulation of fluid in the tissues of organs and serous cavities, manifested by an increase in tissue volume and a decrease in the capacity of serous cavities, a change in physical properties (turgor, elasticity) and a disorder of the function of l=edematous tissues and organs. Edema forms as a result of the accumulation of excess fluid in the interstitial space. The causes of edema are different and require differential diagnosis in order to determine treatment tactics. A personalized approach to the treatment of peripheral edema improves the prognosis of the disease and improves the quality of life of patients.
