Effectiveness of Using the Lumio Web to Improve Mastery of Arabic Vocabulary at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu

This research aims to determine whether there is an improvement or not regarding students' understanding of vocabulary with the use of Lumio web media before and after being used in the classroom for Arabic language learning. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a nonequivalent control group design. Data analysis used a paired two sample t test. The results show that the posttest average score is greater than the pretest average score, this means that there is an increase in students' understanding of vocabulary after using Lumio web media. The research results show that the significance obtained by the experimental class is 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05 compared to the control class of 0.088. thus, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the use of Lumio web media can improve the understanding of vocabulary of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu students.
