A Resonance of the Metropolitan Community Towards the Existence of the Tabligh Jamaah in the City of Jakarta

The existence of the Tablighi Jamaah group among urban communities with free thinking is a unique phenomenon. In this research, the people of Jakarta City and followers of the Tablighi Jamaah are interesting objects for research. Regarding how the urban community, especially the capital city of Jakarta, responds to the Tablighi Jamaah group. This is one of the dynamics that the Tablighi Jamaah group will face. Therefore, this research aims to explore information regarding the response of the people of the capital city of Jakarta to the da'wah activities of the Tablighi Jamaah Group. Apart from that, the methods used in this research are case studies and literature studies to support information regarding community responses and information on Tablighi Jamaah's activities in the city of Jakarta. The results of this research are to find a typology in the response of the people of Jakarta to Tablighi Jamaah's preaching activities at Markaz al-Muttaqien Ancol. Namely, people who view the Tablighi Jamaah Group negatively, and conversely, some people who respond well to the Tablighi group's preaching
