The Research Institute of Parasitology of the Kursk State University has been conducting research to determine the distribution of geo- and biohelminths in the Kursk Region. During the research, 6,111 positive samples were obtained of which 1,967 were water samples; 1,269, storm drains; 1,191, soil samples; and 1,684, sediments from the bottom of reservoirs. The study areas were selected empirically, considering environmental factors and habitats of definitive, intermediate, and supplementary hosts. Sampling was carried out in Rylsky, Korenevsky, Konyshevsky, Zheleznogorsky and Dmitrievsky Districts of the Kursk Region. Interactive maps were compiled in the Axioma Geographic Information System (GIS) registered in the Unified Register of Russian Programs for Electronic Computers and Databases under no. 2174. When mapping the studied areas, modern hardware was used, namely, control data tablets with special software, and software and hardware navigators. The maps obtained in the research allow you to operate with scientific data and change the overview, add or remove layers with their thematic information, make predictive models and determine the course of further research.
