The aim of this study is to expand our understanding of the shopping habits and perceptions of foreign tourists in India. It focuses on how important they find shopping, their planning habits, whether they research before visiting, and their thoughts on extra baggage. To understand the above, data from 410 foreign shoppers was analysed to find patterns in their shopping decisions in a diverse cultural context. The research sorts shopping importance into low, average, or high categories. It also shows if foreign tourists plan their shopping before they arrive in the country or do it on impulse once they are in India.Further, it checks how they feel about extra baggage, and if they are willing to pay for it.This work aims to understand how foreign tourists shop in India, providing useful information for policymakers, and businesses in retail and tourism.
