Introduction The low-frequency pitch perception plays a critical role in hearing quality for patients with cochlear implantation (CI). Mismatches between the presented CI frequency range and the cochlear range can cause sound artifacts. To minimize discrepanices at the low frequency range, long electrode arrays, appropriate stimulation rates and adjustments to the frequency bands should be considered. This study investigates pitch in CI patients implanted with MED-EL's FLEXsoft electrodes and utilzing FS4 speech coding strategy.
