Introduction Currently, the demand for app-based solutions in the follow-up of cochlear implant (CI) users is increasing. These (e.g. "Remote Check" (RC), MED-EL) could noticeably relieve both CI centres with regard to the care structure and CI users with regard to the time required for CI aftercare. Prerequisites for this are implemented test methods that provide clinically relevant and meaningful results to sustainably ensure the quality of decentralised CI aftercare.
