The Development of the Idea of Variability in Simulation of National and Regional Administration of the Russian Empire (from the Middle of the 17th to the Early 20th Century)

Various aspects of the combination of variability and alternativeness in the process of transforming the institutional foundations of the unified political and legal space of the Russian Empire are considered. The range of issues concentrating the vision of the evolution of imperial Russia in the political and state sphere in relation to national and regional governance is substantiated. The article examines the implementation of state power in relation to new territories, their social organization and the local legal system.
