In the ever-expanding universe of wireless communication, the surge in device ubiquity has escalated the demands placed upon communication infrastructures. Paramount among these demands is the quest for antennas that boast enhanced bandwidth, augmented gain, and steadfast stability. In this work, two Vivaldi antennas are introduced. The classical architecture of the Vivaldi antenna is posited as a baseline for comparative performance analysis and the enhanced variant of the Vivaldi antenna incorporates defected ground structures (DGS), an innovation achieved through the strategic integration of tapered slots atop the substrate material. The computational simulations indicate that the refined design of the proposed Vivaldi antenna broadens the bandwidth at the lower frequency threshold while simultaneously enhancing the radiation performance. These attributes position the modified Vivaldi antenna as a pivotal component in the evolution of next-generation wireless technology.
