There are many equipment in the substation, and relying on manual inspection often cannot achieve good results. At present, there are many 3D video sensors installed in substations, but due to manual deployment, there are problems with low coverage and unclear control range. This article establishes a video sensor network coverage optimization model based on Unity3D, and conducts modeling and simulation for substations. Utilizing the characteristics of Unity3D visualization and programmability, a coupled video sensor device field of view model is established based on the parameters of actual video sensor devices. Quantify the control effect of video sensing devices, voxelize the 3D model, propose a judgment method between voxel points and video sensing device control, establish the objective optimization model with the most voxel points covered by the video sensor network, and use a linear difference particle swarm optimization algorithm with decreasing weights to solve the problem. Finally, the effectiveness of the video sensor network coverage optimization model was verified through modeling and simulation of the actual station conditions of the substation.
