The Asteraceae family's Chrysanthemum indicum L. is the world's second-most significant ornamental and commercial flower. When assessing the post-harvest quality of cut flowers and determining their marketability, vase life is a key component. To find out the most potential chemical preservatives and herbal extracts to enhance the shelf life of Chrysanthemum, an experiment set-up was designed with one control treatment of distilled water and eight treatments of different holding solutions, of which four were chemical treatments with citric acid, sucrose, aluminum sulfate, and boric acid, and the other four were herbal leaf extracts, namely Azadirachta indica A. Juss., Catharanthus roseus (L.) G. Don, Nerium oleander L. and a mixture of tree extracts to enhance cheek floral quality and vase life. The results indicated that T4-Sucrose solution (0.5 g) was superior in enhancing the flower's freshness, with the highest shelf life of 10 days when all the parameters are compared. It had the lowest transpiration water loss and water intake, and among the flowers that survived on the tenth day, the weight loss was only 30.4%.
