In today's digital landscape, ensuring the security and integrity of data stands as a critical priority. Cryptographic protocols and secure communication systems heavily depend on genuinely random numbers for key tasks such as encryption and key generation. This paper presents an innovative 8-bit True Random Number Generator (TRNG) designed and implemented using FPGA technology, incorporating a Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) as its core component. The approach utilizes the LFSR to generate true random numbers, synchronized with a clock signal and transmitted directly to D flip-flops as an 8-bit signal. This streamlined configuration ensures the generation of true random numbers without the need for digital conversion, employing a straightforward clocking mechanism for shifting. To maintain uniqueness, repetition is allowed only after exhausting 255 different combinations. This system not only enhances the efficiency of true random number generation but also significantly advances cryptographic protocols and secure communication systems.
