The article explores dialectics and production roles in capitalist and communist society, emphasizing development's necessity to transcend current limitations.
The article considers the problem of the whole in the context of the progress and development of man and society through the prism of Hegel's dialectic and its interpretation in Marxist philosophy (Marx, Plekhanov, Bogdanov). The difference between the whole of development and the whole of progress is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the role of production (means of production and man himself) in the capitalist and communist models, as well as alternative approaches to understanding the whole (Sartre, Lenin). It is emphasized that development requires going beyond the existing and relying on dialectics as a method of understanding historical dynamics.
