The use of probiotics as feed additives is a valuable tool for enhancing animal performance and farm efficiency. This experiment, conducted in a pasture production system with supplementation on a private property in the municipality of Rancharia, São Paulo (Brazil), aimed to evaluate the effect of DBR SACCH Probiotic Powder mixed with concentrate on weight gain, animal behavior and fecal score in beef cattle. The experiment took place from December 2023 to February 2024. Twenty-eight crossbred (Nellore X Angus) animals were used, divided into two production groups matched by weight and blood profile (weight range: 471 kg ± 3 kg), and grazing on Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandu pasture. The animals' diet consisted of free grazing and daily supplementation with 6 kg of concentrate (with an additional 2 grams of probiotic for the treatment group) for 60 days. Three weighings were conducted: at the beginning of the experiment (day 0), and at days 22 and 60 after the start of the supplementation. Animal feces scores and behavior were evaluated at each weighing. A completely randomized design was employed, with two treatments (with and without the supplement) and 14 replicates each (2 x 14). The results suggest beneficial effects from using probiotics in the animals' diet. Animals that ingested the probiotic exhibited more consistent feces and higher daily weight gains, both during the adaptation period (after 22 days of consumption) and at 60 days, with average increases of 178 and 109 grams, respectively. The use of DBR SACCH Probiotic concentrate significantly improved weight gain and fecal score in cattle, generally enhancing their overall performance in the field. This improvement is attributed to the use of the product in conjunction with concentrate and pasture feeding.
