This study analyzed the impact of consumer safety awareness of viewing facilities on content consumption. By analyzing the zero-inflated negative binomial model considering the characteristics of the content viewing variable, it was found that the higher the safety awareness of viewing facilities, the greater the number of theater movies and concerts viewed. This indicates that improving facility safety is an important factor in increasing content consumption. Additionally, unsafe factors affecting content consumption differ depending on the viewing facility used. Results showed that the number of content viewings significantly decreased in theaters when facility management was insufficient or buildings and facilities were old, and in concert venues when safety manuals were not secured, buildings and facilities were outdated, and safety personnel and awareness were lacking. Differences in the unsafe factors that affect the number of content viewings have policy implications for ensuring the safety of viewing facilities.
