Subnational powers to conclude treaties and participate in international organizations

This article analyzes the issues of recognition and status of subnational entities in international law, as well as their participation in international organizations. The impact of international integration of states on the competence and autonomy of subnational entities is considered. Examples of direct and indirect participation of regions in international processes are given.
