Liquid crystal (LC) gratings have played important roles in light field control for the advantages of light weight, low cost, no moving parts, and low power consumption. However, the chromatic aberration limits the bandwidth of LC device and affects the efficiency of grating. To solve the chromatic aberration issue, a broadband wavelengths designable achromatic grating is proposed. Different grating structures are integrated into a single‐layer templated cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) device and the achromatic diffraction wavelengths of the grating can be freely designed from the visible spectral region to the infrared range within the Bragg reflection of CLCs. This grating shows good potential applications in optical communication and displays.
