Due to the industrial production process of OLED display and their inherent electric drive, there is a phenomenon of uneven overall brightness (Mura). This paper focuses on the traditional DeMura process where the compensation grayscale exceeds the compensation range; the required resource expenditure is too high and Mura phenomenon is hard to overcome in high grayscale. To solve above problems, an algorithm of DeMura has been designed. Based on the characteristics of OLED display pixels and the barrel effect, the compensation target curve was reconstructed; extract and add brightness data of OLED screens at high grayscale based on the fitting results of the brightness input grayscale curve of each pixel, and compensate for the extracted grayscale; construct a functional relationship between compensation grayscale and input grayscale. After verification, this algorithm significantly saves resource consumption while ensuring that the compensated grayscale of each pixel is within a reasonable compensation range. At the same time, it makes the maximum brightness standard deviation reduced from 0.054 to 0.002, effectively suppressing Mura when displaying high grayscale.
